ProjectRP Community Rules
The ProjectRP Staff — including our Curators, Management, Admins, Developers, and Support Team — are committed to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and immersive environment for all members of our community. Every player's voice matters to us, and we encourage you to bring any feedback, questions, or concerns to the appropriate channels in our Discord, no matter how minor they may seem.

Primary Rules
Primary rules represent the foundation of our community's standards. Violations are considered the most serious offenses and will typically result in immediate and permanent removal from the community without appeal.
- Age Requirement
All players and all characters portrayed on our servers must be 18 years of age or older.
- Hate Speech & Discrimination
Any language, remarks, or actions that promote hatred, violence, or intolerance toward another player or character based on race, colour, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or physical or mental disability are strictly prohibited.
- Harassment & Bullying
Derogatory remarks, personal insults, sexual harassment, or any similar conduct directed toward another player, developer, or member of staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
- Toxicity & Instigation
Engaging in public discussions or arguments in a manner that defames, antagonises, or deliberately provokes another player, developer, or member of staff is prohibited.
- Real Money Transactions
Offering, soliciting, or accepting real-world currency or goods in exchange for in-game roleplay, mechanical, or gameplay advantages is strictly prohibited.
- Cheating, Hacking & Unauthorised Software
The use of third-party hacks, cheats, or any modification to the game client intended to provide an unfair advantage is prohibited. This includes the use of third-party communications software during active gameplay on our servers.
- Sexual Assault, Non-Consensual & Suicide Roleplay
Roleplay depicting sexual assault — including but not limited to non-consensual touching or rape — is strictly prohibited. Roleplay in which a character is drugged without the knowledge and consent of the player is prohibited. Roleplay depicting or glorifying suicide is also prohibited.
- Staff Abuse & Brigading
All staff decisions and interactions must be respected. If you wish to contest a punishment, do so through a Management Ticket only. Abuse of, or coordinated action against, any member of staff will result in the rejection of any active or future appeals and immediate action against the offending party.
- Fresh Start Policy
Do not carry over disputes, grudges, or negative history from other communities. All members are entitled to a fresh start within ProjectRP, and prior external conflicts must be left at the door.
Major Rules
Major rules govern behaviour that is significantly disruptive or damaging to the roleplay experience of others. Most violations will result in a suspension; repeated or egregious violations may lead to permanent removal from the community.
- Abuse of Mechanics
Exploiting bugs, glitches, or using in-game mechanics in a manner clearly outside their intended purpose is prohibited. This includes combat logging, relog abuse, and the misuse of emotes or other in-game systems.
- Metagaming
Acting upon information obtained out-of-character that your character has not discovered through in-character means is prohibited. Knowledge gained as a player must not influence your character's actions or decisions.
- Stream Sniping
While active on our servers, you are prohibited from watching the live stream of any other player who is currently on the server, regardless of platform or service.
- Torture Roleplay
Torture roleplay is permitted only with the explicit consent of all parties involved. Consent must be maintained throughout the scenario — if any participant withdraws consent at any point, the scenario must cease immediately.
- Deathmatching (RDM / VDM)
Killing or causing harm to another player without sufficient roleplay justification is prohibited. All hostile engagements must be preceded by meaningful roleplay that establishes context for the conflict. Using a vehicle or animal to harm or kill another player is similarly prohibited.
- Erotic Roleplay (ERP)
Erotic roleplay is permitted only in private, between consenting adult players. ERP must never occur in public spaces on the server. All parties must be willing participants, and if any individual — in character or out of character — wishes to stop, the roleplay must cease immediately.
- Breaking Character (OOC)
Players must remain in character at all times while on our servers. Going out of character via voice or text chat is prohibited except through designated OOC channels and must not be used to discuss bugs, rule breaks, or in-game situations mid-scenario. If a rule violation occurs, complete the active roleplay scenario before opening the appropriate ticket or report.
- Incapacitation Conduct
Players who are downed, bleeding out, or incapacitated must roleplay their condition accordingly. Vocalising is permitted where injuries allow, but players must not break character or act in a manner inconsistent with their physical state. Players may only speak freely when a medical professional is actively performing medical roleplay on them.
- Third-Partying
Do not insert yourself into a roleplay scenario you are not a part of. Players must not position themselves to artificially become involved in another group's active situation, and may not loot or interact with downed players who are involved in an active scenario in which you have no part.
- New Life Rule (NLR)
Players retain memory of all events leading up to the point of their incapacitation, whether they are revived by a doctor or choose to respawn via a local or self-respawn. Events that occurred during incapacitation are not to be remembered or acted upon following revival.
Minor Rules
Minor rules govern behaviour that may be disruptive or damaging to the roleplay experience of others. Most violations will result in a formal warning; repeated violations may escalate to suspension or removal from the community.
- Quality of Roleplay & FailRP
All players are expected to uphold the roleplay standards of the ProjectRP community at all times. This includes, but is not limited to: maintaining a realistic value for your character's life (NVL), portraying injuries accurately following being downed, avoiding law enforcement baiting, not sharing information between your own characters, not acknowledging or reacting to /me's or status effects outside your character's line of sight, avoiding info-dumping, refraining from using healing items during an active situation, and not dismissing or undermining the roleplay of others.
- Powergaming
Forcing outcomes on other players through /me actions, mechanical exploitation, or verbal declarations without allowing them a reasonable opportunity to respond is prohibited. Inflicting unrealistic actions on other characters, or exploiting gaps in game mechanics for personal advantage, is not permitted.
- In-Game Text Channels
In-character text channels (such as Ads or Anonymous Ads) must not be used for out-of-character commentary, spam, or unrelated remarks. Out-of-character channels (such as /gooc or /looc) must be used sparingly and appropriately — they must not be used to communicate in-character information or engage in unnecessary conversation.
- /me & /status Commands
These commands are to be used exclusively for roleplay purposes. They must convey observable actions or visible states — information that cannot be perceived by other characters in the scene must not be communicated through these commands.
- Hostile Group Limit
No more than six players may participate as a unified group in any hostile roleplay scenario. This limit applies to all organisations and parties on the server. Organisations may recruit more than six members in total, but no more than six may be actively engaged in initiating or participating in a single hostile situation.
- Out-of-Character Recruitment
Organisations wishing to add a member through an out-of-character agreement must obtain admin approval prior to doing so if the addition would bring the organisation's total roster to six or more members, regardless of any existing in-character connection.
- Location Robbery Timer
Following the robbery of any location — including banks, stores, or other designated sites — players must wait a minimum of 60 minutes before robbing a different location.
- Player Robbery Limits
A 48-hour cooldown applies between robbery attempts targeting the same player. When robbing a player, you must exercise restraint — do not clear their entire inventory. Players must be left with at minimum one weapon with which to defend themselves.
- Scene Pacing
ProjectRP is a slow-burn roleplay community. Players are expected to take their time and develop scenes thoughtfully. The use of /scene commands to set detailed scene descriptions is strongly encouraged. No more than 20 scene entries should be created in a single location. Trail scenes and narrative progression between locations are also encouraged.
Game-Specific Rules
The following rules apply specifically to our FiveM and RedM servers. Violations are treated in the same manner as Minor rule infractions.
- Organisation Discord Monitoring
All in-character and out-of-character communications for gangs and businesses that relate to on-server activity must be accessible to ProjectRP staff for monitoring purposes. Your organisation must either be established within the designated Gang & Business Discord or have a dedicated section within the main ProjectRP Discord. The use of external, unmonitored channels to coordinate on-server activities is strictly prohibited.
- Organisation Character Restrictions
A player may only have one character involved in a gang or business storyline at any given time. If multiple characters belonging to the same player become involved in intersecting storylines, the player must select one character to continue with until the storyline is fully resolved.
- Assumed Law Enforcement Presence
All in-character decisions and actions must be made under the assumption that a significant law enforcement presence exists within the state at all times, regardless of actual LEO numbers on the server. Exploiting a low LEO presence to engage in behaviour that would otherwise be unrealistic or impractical is prohibited.
- Law Enforcement & Medical Clothing
Civilian characters are prohibited from wearing any clothing branded or identifiable as law enforcement or medical uniforms — including uniform shirts, badges, vests, or similar items.
- State Employee Conduct
Characters employed in state roles must not engage in corrupt behaviour. Examples include: a law enforcement officer assisting a suspect in destroying evidence or evading charges; a doctor rendering aid to criminals during an active combat situation to prolong the conflict or facilitate escape; or a jailor facilitating a prison break or riot.
Discord-Specific Rules
- All members must be 18 years of age or older to access and participate in our Discord server.
- Venting, trash-talking, or making derogatory remarks about other players or other communities is not permitted.
- Spamming, trolling, bullying, or any behaviour intended to disrupt or harm the community is prohibited.

- NSFW, graphic, or explicit content is prohibited. Suggestive in-game content must be marked with a spoiler tag.
- Bots within the Discord must not be abused or exploited.
- Do not direct message Developers, Admins, Management, or Support Staff with issues or questions. Please use the appropriate forms or forums. Staff will contact you privately if required — please wait patiently for a response.
